Resinorte was yesterday notified of an application for an interim injunction filed by Vila Real Municipal Council against the decision of the CCDR-N authorising and licensing the re-engineering of the Vila Real landfill, located in the parish of Andrães.

One of the immediate effects of this injunction is the legal and judicial ban on the reception of municipal waste at the Vila Real landfill, which affects the operations of Resinorte and the municipalities it serves.
Resinorte is currently analysing the injunction, but, until a court ruling to the contrary, urban waste will have to be sent to other company facilities, dozens of kilometres away.
